This morning we got up early and went to check the surf with chocolate croissant and coffee from our favourite bakery Pan Pay. Salsa Brava was closing out a little and looked busy, so we took the short drive to check the beach break Cocles – and it looked SICK. So glassy, perfect peaks and barrels. No-one out. We surfed for about two and half hours, alternating waves between five of us. I can’t remember the last time I had such a perfect fun surf session. I am so stoked right now I can’t stop smiling!!! I LOVE SURFING! Super sad to be leaving the Caribbean side today, it has been an AWESOME two day trip, and I have fallen in love with Puerto Viejo. To anyone travelling through Costa Rica, you’ve got to come and hang out here for a couple of days, longer if you can! The vibe is so chilled, the waves are insane, the food is INCREDIBLE, and the people are amazing. The best time to hit this side of the country is between January and April, that’s when you are most likely to get good waves :-).

Now we are getting ready for the 6 hour drive back home to the Pacific coast, but there is a nice southerly swell hitting tomorrow, so I’m already getting excited about finding some left hand point breaks when I get back to keep my stoke burning! Ciao for now xoxo
